With diverse musical influences from Heavy Metal to Folk to Jam Bands, Forest Thurman & Friends bring the party energy to every show, riveting audiences with syncopated rhythms, tight harmonies, rockin’ solos and foot-stompin’ fun.
Cisco and the Racecars
Cisco and the Racecars specializes in bluegrass, folk, and old time Americana music. Their energetic style and diverse arrangements and instrumentation create a unique blend of old and new. Under the management and vision of Francisco Briseno, Cisco & The Racecars has taken its place as one of the premier bluegrass bands in the Southwest.
The band is composed of Francisco Briseno on banjo, Mark Hickler on guitar, Giselle Lee on fiddle, Chester Carmer on mandolin, Katie Carmer on cello, and Joelle Tambe-Ebot on bass. Francisco, an Arizona State Banjo Champion, has gathered his band members over many years and together they've formed a highly unique and authentic sound. Although their roots are bluegrass, and they remain true to that tradition, they also play popular, country, and old-time music. The band plays festivals, special events, parties, weddings, and members also arranged and played 35 performances for the world premier theater production of "Burning in the Night".
In addition to performing, Cisco & the Racecars mentors the young players of the Jam Pak Blues 'N' Grass Neighborhood Band, a local after school music program that gave several of the band's members their start.
In summer 2018, the band had the opportunity to tour Ukraine, playing concerts in villages and towns across the country. This musical diplomacy trip was arranged by the Peace Corps and generously funded by the Trust for Mutual Understanding and the American Embassy in Kiev.. Cisco & the Racecars returned to Ukraine in summer 2019 for a second tour. They look forward to future opportunities to travel the world, share their music, and promote international understanding.North of Lonesome
Arizona based bluegrass band with deep roots in traditional bluegrass music. North of Lonesome is a band designed for festival gigs where the music connects with bluegrass festival goers.
jampak
The Jam Pak Band, with a consistent membership of 30 and ranging in ages from 5 to 76, has performed at many festivals throughout the years, and for several Arizona festivals they are always on the program, which attests to the love the producers and patrons have for this unusual group of children playing the cherished traditional songs.
Some of Jam Pak’s favorite venues have been the Pioneer Bluegrass Festival, the Tucson Bluegrass Festival, the Wickenburg Bluegrass Festival, the Blythe Bluegrass Festival in California, the Agricountry Bluegrass Festival in Casa Grande, and the Marana Bluegrass Festival.
Emphasising the community involvement of Jam Pak, Anni Beach says, “The band also entertains at many other venues including senior living communities, city events and especially always fun is performing for the Arizona Bluegrass Association Holiday Party and being part of the band scrambles”. -Bluegrass Today

carolyn Rust Camp
Carolyn Camp is an Arizona based Appalachian style old- time fiddler. She played classical violin as a young girl, but gave it up by the age of eleven. Years later, music started calling her and she picked up her old violin and began a search for the sound that would resonate with her. She took some lessons on basic fiddling styles but nothing moved her until she found a video of an old man playing Appalachian style fiddling and that was it, she was hooked! The haunting sounds of an open tuned fiddle and the lively rhythmic bowing style seemed to already be within her, just waiting to be awakened. Then her mother told her that her great-granny was from Ronceverte, WV and had told her stories of an uncle who was a fiddler at the local square dances! She sought out a fiddle workshop in WV, and came home and started listening to old recordings and learning to play by ear. She plays in the Phoenix based old-time band, Pick & Holler and also in a duo Ronceverte, with Will Vincent.
MATT KINMAN
Matt Kinman is a renowned and highly regarded fiddler, banjo, guitar, bones player and singer. He possesses a beautiful unique old country-style singing voice that is from the past, seldom heard anywhere else nowadays. He was born in Tucson, Arizona but his family relocated to Appalachia when he was just a boy. He lived off and on for years in Nashville TN, while still keeping a place near Boone, NC, where he could be nearer the people and music he loved. He grew up in the tradition of roots music and craftsman ways, finding inspiration and deep connection within that culture. Matt has traversed the country "hitch-hiking, ridin the boxcar, or just walkin down the road" in his pursuit of that connection to our past and the old, endearing and intentional ways of living. He documented many elder craftspeople and music makers, working hard to preserve the story of their lives and ways. He was an original founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show, has performed on the Grand Ol' Opry, and has also performed with The Roan Mountain Hilltoppers, The Hackensaw Boys, Marty Stuart, Luke Bell and many others.

Crumpled Bills Kin got their name from their first busking style gig when a few crumpled bills were tossed in their case while rehearsing. They are also the dedicated parents of the JamPak students who fell in love with what their children were passionate about and they decided to start their own group!
